Valeri Liukin to coach Team USA while under SafeSport investigation for abuse

Liukin, the former Olympic champion, will coach the U.S. in Germany this week while a U.S. Center for SafeSport investigation proceeds.

Yeah, so, I’m just not feeling the outrage here. Donna Strauss is under investigation, too. Who else is supposed to coach the team?

I wonder if he’s really the head coach or Konnor McLain’s coach…

Since the head coach is one of the personal coaches with athletes in the competition I don’t either.

I think it’s more that he will be head of delegation. Many competitions insist that you have one. For most countries it will just be the most experienced coach who’ll be there

That was what I read, it’s more of a procedural thing.
