That Romania had two gymnasts with the same name - Aurelia Dobre. I've often wondered is this the Romanian version of a 'common' name Amy Smith?

Meanwhile, GB has one gymnast with the same two names: Grace Grace.

Does anyone know when the 1st 2 skills in this vid were competed successfully to get named? I have never seen a vid when either skills is landed properly

Me either. I have only seen Jonathon Horton at 2007 Winter Cup but it wasn’t in the official competition. FT triple tuck with a jump backward.

1) I’m trying to remember who did a pose on beam. Gymnast is in straddle sit (so presumably after a Korbut variation/roll to straddle sit etc) and then arches with one leg bent and one arm up. I expect a number of gymnasts have done something similar (though I have a silver leotard and sharp entry into pose in my head) so all variations welcome.

I had a terrifying dream last night, I think caused by the recent mixed team event, of a world where a brief karaoke performance was allowed to be performed as a competitive element before/after routines in gymnastics. It was given an E rating and always referred to as "The Song", and judges apparently were never deducting it much or at all, and many gymnasts refused to compete against others who would use "The Song".

What a dream! Made me think about the Set New Signs theme song for 2019 worlds. Fischer also sings the theme song for the gymnastics festival that Euros is a part of.
