Olympic Swag

I've never gone to the Olympics but after watching London 2012, I started collecting credential lanyards. My collection is almost complete, just missing Sydney and a Sochi Paralympics (I've only just seen a pic of that one to know it exists), and if Torino or anything earlier had a paralympics twin, I haven't seen them. Torino was so hard to find but I finally succeeded with what felt like a random set of search words. The Salt Lake one is not a credential one but it has the rings and that's good enough for me!

A pennant frame was just the right size for my display.

Anyone have an Olympics or gymnastics collection they want to share in the downtime?

I love this. I've been wanting to start an Olympic memorabilia collection for years. Thinking about getting all the mascot plushies and collecting the pins.

I used to have the tickets/stubs from every Olympic gymnastics event in 1996 in a frame similar to yours, but it disappeared somewhere over the years. I do have a massive collection of gymnastics books, but they are currently packed up under my bed.

Oh that was probably so cool, I'm sorry it has gone missing. I had thought about pins too but oh mah gosh, there are so so so so many of them it wouldn't end. I get in a "must have a complete set mode" and brains just fly out the window. The pins I have either came with the lanyards or a friend gave them to me. I can't be trusted with pins.

If you are independently wealthy, there is a seller on ebay selling like 1 of every olympic torch relay torches. That would be an awesome collection. ;-)

I got a Flip plushy from Olympic Trials, if I ever go to another trials (and Flip is still the mascot), I might get another one.

Ebay. Though I'm open to donations if anyone has celeb friends... (it seems like athletes, coaches, volunteers and VIPs get them--regular ticket holders don't. Cuz I might have asked members of this forum who were attending Paris to grab me one but they were like, they don't give them out to regular people with tix. But every celeb they showed in the audience had one.)
