There have been rumors about it for a couple of weeks now. Of all of the gymnasts who have been on DWTS, she is the one I'm most excited for just because of how much she loves getting dressed up and performing. I couldn't be happier for her. I still won't watch the show, but I'm sure I'll see her dances on social media afterwards. I hope she has a great time and makes it all the way through to the end.

I think she is going to be a front runner to win. Laurie Hernandez and Shawn Johnson both won and have similar outgoing personalities.

Yes. It premiered.
Jordan and Ezra finished a a 10 (5, 5) and are tied with 3 other pairs.
They are just ahead of two pairs who scored a 9.

Robert Irwin and Witney Carson are in 1st with 15 points.

She’s stiff and you can see the thought process more than the performance. Not very Jordan-like.

Salsa is a tough one - everyone usually sucks. Perhaps good to get it out of the way

Salsa is generally much harder than it looks. It's not something a non-dancer (or even a pro) can master in a few days. And it's not just about the moves. It's musicality and attitude.

It’s good she got it out of the way then. Although a few weeks of practice in all dance styles would result in improvement of musicality and attitude. At least it’s out of the way.

Do they have required dances to choose from and once they have done it they don't have to repeat it?
I am not familiar with the rules.

Like with diving, you have requirements and once they are checked off, then you can opt for other dives.

I was annoyed that her dance had so many flips and tricks in it. I feel like they try that with all gymnasts initially and it's always poorly received by the judges.

Gymnasts start out with the strength for proper carriage and a lot of them can be precise even if they struggle with expressiveness. No idea why they don't play to these strengths. I would have loved to see her do a jive like Robert but I guess it wouldn't have matched the music she chose. (Robert killed it btw. 10/10 did not see that coming!)
