Yes she is. She’s head coach of their women’s programme. I wonder what it’s like living in Saudi Arabia as a young, unmarried, non Muslim, foreigner woman.

One of my co-workers fits that profile and worked there for a little while. She doesn't have anything bad to say, but, importantly, lived on a western compound. So it probably depends on the living arrangements she has.

I’ll never forget the first conversation I had with a colleague that spent five years in the U.A.E. We were getting along quite well when I asked why he decided it was time for a change. Suddenly, his face takes on a very serious, somber look before saying, “If you’re not Arabic or Muslim and are in the Middle East for more than three years, something went very wrong.” Based on his expression, I decided not to press for details.

This one is obviously self explanatory, but a friend I grew up with was deported from Saudi Arabia for making moonshine.
