I’ll start with linking the gymternets 2025 meet schedule.
For GB domestic comps, we have
Welsh champs in Cardiff starting feb 14th
English champs in Telford starting feb 28th.
Scottish champs in Motherwell, starting March 1st
British obviously in Liverpool, March 20th
British men’s team champs in Basildon, June 7th
British Team Champs starting 18th Oct in Stoke on Trent (worlds starts on the 19th)

I’m going to try to get to at least one, if I can make a short trip work.

That reads to me like she’s trying to manage everyone’s expectations. I don’t expect to see her back until worlds tbh
It does and I agree.

I do hope she's able to do something this year. That's quite a layoff she's had, and it must've smarted to see the Paris floor title going to a routine she could've comfortably beaten.

This ☝️

I’m also nosy about the additional minor injuries. Curious about the rehab timeline as well. We speculated that they ruled out Paris early given the prehab and surgery delay. I wonder how far down the rehab pathway they were when they decided to go slow and aim for 2025? Perhaps those around her let her realise the mountain a Paris run would have been in her own time?

I had not even considered that idea — that she very well could have won that day. Wow.
Well, there were a few other things to be distracted by in that final...

But it's not all that surprising really. Jess was the second best floor worker in the world this quad, and while Simone on her day is uncatchable, Jess can beat the bounding routines.

I think the bigger wtf is that if Jess had been healthy, GB could've challenged Italy for silver even without Ondine. They missed 2nd by 2.2 points, and swapping Jess in for Abi with a good but not career best AA round in TFs closes that gap. After all our talk about lack of depth last quad, I didn't see that coming. But I bet it's occurred to Jess...
