Ah yes I see.

Personally I love it when people from NI choose to be British or Irish depending on what's more convenient at any given time. But of course, there are ways to feel oneself a mixture of British and Irish and not buy into the honours system too- I don't think I'd want one in the extraordinarily unlikely event that it was offered.
