She’s already done stuff for commonwealth day (didn’t know that existed) so I think she’ll do the CWG. Higher medal chance + media attention
Wales should have a decent chance in the team comp. Ruby E, Frances Stone, Jemima Taylor and the Ropers are all Welsh.

That’s a big chunk of the GB squad taken out for the Wales CWG team so it is possible that there would have to be some overlap between the Euros and the CWG teams. It’s an interesting question regarding what happens if both federations want a gymnast.

It will be interesting to see whether the timing of the events forces this or not. CWG is 23rd July to 2nd August. Euros are 30th July to 9th August. We don't have the event breakdown for CWG yet afaik. I think AG is usually earlier rather than later, it was in Birmingham, but the last time CWG were in Scotland it was the 5th to 9th days of the 11 day Games.

AG is normally 5 days total for CWG, so it's theoretically possible it finishes on 28th July and people could be in Zagreb to compete on the 30th. Whether that's a good idea is a separate question! But if the days are the same as they were in 2014, some of it will be happening at the same time as Euros.

If so, might be a question of weighing factors up. Home CWG is usually considered to be more fun, a good chance for family to see you compete and probably more of a commercial opportunity. Euros is more significant in the sport itself.

BG might also want Euros prioritised as it's a qualifier for worlds, albeit GB hardly need to send the A team to finish in the top 13 or whatever it'll be this quad.

Either someone at BG has muddled up Aylesbury Gymnastics Academy with the facility they use, or Lynx Gymnastics has taken a dramatic step up from its usual fare of recreational classes, soft play sessions and birthday parties.
They issued a statement about it saying they were uniting the rec and performance side into one club again. I believe the Lynx side has been IGA not BG for a long time.

BG have some rule about dual registration- I guess they’ll finally said that it wasn’t allowed.

Similar thing happen to Newbury gymnastics academy- not sure why it took so long for it to happen to Aylesbury

Have BG always had reserve gymnasts for the senior squad or is it new this year now that they’ve phased out the senior developmental squad?

The reserves are Lottie Smith, Isabelle Priestly, Ellie Lewis and Crystelle Lake.
