Australian Open 2026

Is anyone watching the Australian Open? Being in the U.S., I hit the point a few days ago of not really knowing what day it was here or there - I just know what time I need to watch matches (this isn't helped any by the fact that I also haven't worked the last three Mondays).

I would love to see Svitolina come through and win, but I do like Sabalenka and Pegula too. For the men, I much prefer Sinner to the others. Really felt bad for Musetti having to retire with an injury after the first two sets.

I am definitely watching - or at least following - the AO, and I'm with you about not knowing what day it is!
I'm quite happy with the outcome of the women's SF and will be hoping for Rybakina to win, but I don't mind if Sabalenka wins either.
For the men, I am really hoping for another Sinner-Alcaraz final, and I would have a slight preference for Alcaraz to win that one - but mostly I want to see a good and exciting match. And I don't even want to contemplate any outcome in which one of the other two semi-finalists somehow makes it to the final...
