NCAA 2026 Week 6: 2/2-2/8

It was so strange, because the vault judges were like "Nope, absolutely not!" while on the other events they happily ignored obvious errors for 9.9+ scores.

It's the half-on entry. JNCAA judges (outside of Chiles last year) are always tougher on different entires than they are on yuchenkos. Just another frustrating inconsistency when it comes to judges.

Jordan Chiles brought back her Prince routine this weekend in Minnesota.

I would love for Josc's ncaa coaches to bring her back to basic drills and improve form. I think we all agree she is a great athlete and seems like a great person and we want her to have great gymnastics. Being as short and muscular as she is, her gymnastics are never going to look like a Nastia-type gymnast will but she could look like a Simone-type with execution improvements. We've already had Skinner-type and didn't love it so no need to revist that.

I really wish she had gone to a different school. LSU, FL, or CAL (under the Howells) would have had her sorted. I feel like she's gotten none of the benefits NCAA can have for an elite athlete.
