In regards to Josc, I know I am counter to popular opinion, but I believe if she was genuinely serious about LA then she would go the Chiles/Dicello route and focus on being elite and doing the things needed to make an olympic spot. The ability to train elite and compete in the NCAA is mixed and definitely poses some logistical issues with NCAA training rules. She has stated that she went to Ark for Jordyn and when she found out she was leaving, then it became, where can I accomplish my NCAA goals in the next two years. Plus, I am still waiting for Laurent to be announced. Why take so long? Word is he has no desire to do the NCAA thing but maybe with spousal pressure he will go along? If her motivation is more NCAA, then it becomes more the top teams, OU, LSU, UF, UCLA.
Ultimately, I agree, the most obvious and probable thing is Laurent joins UGA, Josc goes to UGA and everyone is happily ever after, but it is certainly not outside the realm of possibilities that the most obvious thing doesnt happen.
Would he want all that hassle? It is probably more lucrative for him to do consultancy/masterclasses with zero overheads.I wonder if Laurent is not going to do the NCAA thing but is preparing to open his own elite gym.
Highly doubt that. Why he want his own gym? He has never had his own gym and UGA will pay him better than if he opened his own gymI wonder if Laurent is not going to do the NCAA thing but is preparing to open his own elite gym.
Just a fan. UGA is my favorite team but LSU is my second. I like Jay Clark. He’s a good coach and a great recruiter. I firmly believe UGA would’ve had the same success these past few years as LSU has had. That is if Georgia in 2012 had only had an athletic director with sufficient gymnastics knowledge. Why? Because LSU has so many spots open for competition? Or you just being a fan?
Also it would be harder for him to have a gym close to home as he’d have to compete with Georgia Elite which is about 10 miles from UGA.Highly doubt that. Why he want his own gym? He has never had his own gym and UGA will pay him better than if he opened his own gym

Same here! I've been reading some of these threads with the lack of elite gymnastics news. I have no idea who most of the people being discussed are, but have been sucked into this coaching and transfer drama.I don’t follow NCAA. I had no idea there was this much drama. I’m simultaneously thinking maybe I’ll start and thinking maybe I’ll nope out.
Yes! I really don't follow NCAA at all, but the transfer/coaching drama fills the gap until Chinese Nationals in a couple of weeks. It's also a welcome reprieve from my students' angst as we head into finals.Same here! I've been reading some of these threads with the lack of elite gymnastics news. I completely agree. Her path to the Olympics is through difficulty and there isnt enough time to work on that while also working on her NCAA routines (especially if she wants to be more then a 2 eventer)In regards to Josc, I know I am counter to popular opinion, but I believe if she was genuinely serious about LA then she would go the Chiles/Dicello route and focus on being elite and doing the things needed to make an olympic spot. It's not usually thing crazy. This off season has been particularly notable and it's only been 2 weeks.Same here! I've been reading some of these threads with the lack of elite gymnastics news.
