There have been abuse allegations posted by at least one former BYU gymnast on social media.

Someone on one of the Facebook college gym groups asked why people think that all is not well in the team environment at Utah and I mentioned Maile being a student coach and also a Farden defender. Missy Marlowe called me out and asked if I'd like to ask any of the girls on the team how they feel about that.

I still don't think Maile is a healthy choice for the team, but also, I can say that I've been chewed out by a former Olympian, so I can add that to my resume.

Interesting. Whitewater was one of the more dominant D3 teams. They won multiple D3 team titles with Coach Regan.

Yeah, I was surprised, and the CGN article really isn't clear if this was Jennifer Regan's decision to step down, or the university's decision to fire her (or not renew her contract or whatever).

The statement on UW-Whitewater's site is equally vague, but reading between the lines, I don't think this was Regan leaving voluntarily.

No, especially since they promoted the assistant coach to interim coach.

Maybe this was a last minute decision and not something planned in advance.
