I almost love this one! If they had kept the stripes all the same red and white then it could give the illusion of an athlete wrapping the flag around themselves (like you see after they’ve won a championship).

totally agree. Why does USAG put their gymnasts in such poor fitting leos - or do they just give them sizes that are too small. On the earlier 'model' photo of this leo, it had a lovely shape around where the leg joins the body - on this photo they all have a 'fatty lump' around this area due to the severe 'v' of the cut/size. Just wear a leo that fits FFS.
Don't gymnasts check what they look like in a mirror!
And it makes Roberson look stumpier than she already is.
Yes - I think I got out the wrong side of the bed but this is not a good look![]()
Sadly poorly cut leos seem to be the trend in the US currently, most elite and NCAA gymnasts seem to go for the super high cut whereas the GK models wear the old school normal cut leos. Worlds trials had some horrific ones. Supposedly the high cut elongates the leg line, but this just looks awful and uncomfortable. Why does USAG put their gymnasts in such poor fitting leos - or do they just give them sizes that are too small. Yes they did. I believe there are still several rules about leotard standards in the COP, though I can't recall any other time a deduction has been taken.Didn't China lose a couple of tenths in 1992 TOs because of their ill-fitting leotards? Is there still a rule in the CoP about leo fit?
I thought AIN were only allowed to wear sky blue.
None of the attire rules apply to anyone in practice sessions.I thought AIN were only allowed to wear sky blue.
My goodness, compare the form and posture of the Russians to everyone else on a basic "posy" picture and you can see where they spend training time. I remember watching the Russians do their warm up progressions before some competition and it was like watching the Bolshoi ballet.Day 1 Training
