Calling Wong's vault tucked vs. layout will likely be the difference between her making or not making vault finals.

She almost certainly was double penalized. I bet anything the e judges deducted for bent knees. Yet she was credited with a tucked vault! So ridiculous.

Yes. Tucked DTY is. 4.4. That has to be what happened

The DTY lost Wong her spot on the 2019 World team (to McCallum) and now it has lost her a vault medal in 2025, while it has long been the skill that she has performed better than most people in the world. I imagine she has spent a lot of time training the Cheng lately and they thought the DTY would muscle memory itself into a decent shape. But tbh the writing was on the wall with this vault all season. Just look at the selection camp.

Was there any attempt to get the judges to come to their senses with Wong's DTY? This is going to be one of the embarrassments of the competition if they don't correct this, because she was obviously deducted in E score for attempting a layout position.
