I'm all for the fake Layout Jaeger fulls getting deducted sufficiently, but it's always absurd to completely discredit elements.

Why are there no Australians listed on the scoring site, what's going on there?

That's SUCH a STUPID FUCKING RULE.

First of all, why is there no piked version to downgrade it to? So you bend your hips a bit and it's a loss not only of 0.5 in the E-score but also a loss of about 0.6 for the element (compared to an A they sub in)? That's not ACTUALLY a large error. It should be a 0.1 or 0.2 downgrade. or a 0.1 or max 0.3 deduction. THAT'S IT.

I am not a violent person, but even I want to punch the face of the fucking moron who created that rule. Because that is a REALLY stupid person.
Your friend Steve*n* Butcher is the AS on HB and the D judges are ESP and COL (maybe COL persuaded ESP to do the deed because "he whose name shall not bespoken" has defunded aid to COL earlier today due to "drug wars". I know I'm not to get political but it is funny in an ironic way).

Subdivisions 1-6 completed.
7-8 are on "Monday"
Including:
7:
Portugal,, Denmark, Venezuela, Australia, Serbia, Indonesia, India, Puerto Rico, Slovenia, Hong Kong
8:
Azerbaijan, Finland, China, Turkiye, Cameroon, Canada, France, and Trinidad and Tobago

Other than Australia, not too many finals chances.
8 looks to be a biter with China, Turkiye, Canada, and France looking to get some gymnasts into finals.

Does a piked jaeger full deserve an A rating? Absolutely not. That’s what they’ve done. Insane.

ETA: Actually, what they’ve done is even worse than that. They’ve awarded the skill 0.000 in difficulty. An “A” valued skill would at least earn a tenth. But Brody has an “A” skill elsewhere in his set, so that counts instead of the Jaeger full. Mind boggling levels of makes no sense.

Why can't Brody just submit the piked version then?
The MTC has this almost obsessive habit — starting from somewhere around 2007ish — of saying "The Code of Points has too many elements" and then removing elements. The code is missing all kinds of skills that used to be in it years ago.

I mean, there's no front piked full on floor exercise either, but I have never heard of anyone getting deducted 0.5 for piking and then losing the element also. Which is even worse in this case because he literally did a full-twisting front flip release and caught it. That's HARD, even if it's piked.

I think I talked to him once or twice like 15 years ago, LOL. Anyway, even if he executed the rule, it was the MTC — and the responsibility falls to the president, Tombs — created it.

(Which I know you know... I'm just putting it out there for other people following along)

It would be interesting to see how the actual D-Score played out. Did the D-panel credit it only to have it blocked by the AS? Too bad someone did make a video of the judging dais for that one.
