Have a great weekend watching what is almost certain to be absolute scoring insanity. I may pop on this thread to gnash me teeth about GW, but I won't be watching this weekend--I'll be away without TV for the most part.

Get ready, we're about to find out who doesn't make SECs!

The wild thing is that Arkansas is still not out of it.

Given how they’ve been all season, is it implausible that Alabama, at Michigan, would count a fall on either beam or some other random event (bars comes to mind) and not increase their NQS?

In that scenario, Arkansas would need slightly below 197.4 at home to pass.

If Auburn doesn’t increase its NQS, it’s an even easier task for Arkansas- that’s the 197.15+ that others have pointed out.

I'm half tempted to go over the reddit and see those rabid Arkansas fans who vehemently hate Auburn for some reason (no, really, the depth of their hatred for "that cow school" is impressive, but I don't get it AT. ALL. I find it hilarious that Arkansas fans are insulting another school as a hick school). The meltdowns are undoubtedly pretty impressive.

GW has fallen to 39th in the daily rankings. West Virginia, peaking at the best time, has leapt to 35th.

Both have another meet this weekend, so there’s the possibility of more movement. GW would need above a 195.900 on Sunday to climb back to 36th.

If they do that, then the Penn State regional 400-mile problem becomes even more absurd because now WVU is added to the problem, instead of simply swapping out GW.

Two meets in a row that GW has put up a non-counting score. They have to get it together tomorrow at Maryland and then at EGAL championships. They have no one to blame but themselves for underperforming.

The regular season has ended and UGA is in the top 10! Landi and Roberts have officially shown success despite the skeptics who told me that shooting for top 10 was too lofty a goal. I hope people now will give them credit where credit is due. Regardless of what happens in the post season Georgia this year has shown a significant turn around in consistency. They have only had to count 1 fall all season and that was in the first meet! It is also noteworthy that Landi and Roberts did this with a team that had zero returning seniors. Being a team consisting mainly of leading sophomores and newcomers it should be easy to acknowledge that the co head coaches are doing an excellent job and that especially given its the first year for both of them in this role. As a UGA fan I'm thrilled with our new coaches and our team! Things are definitely looking bright for Georgia gymnastics in the future.

Georgia definitely showed the potential they have had the last two years under Kupets-Carter.
They have remained mostly healthy and gained valuable consistency. Let's see how Regionals go and if they can sneak by to Nationals. Not sure how the SEC scoring will effect Georgia once it gets to regional scoring.

Also, the regular season has not ended yet. There is still this coming weekend with conference championships. Georgia is not officially 10th yet, as teams NQS can increase this weekend. Mathematically they have not locked up 10th.

They face a tough regional (at this moment) up against LSU, Missouri, and Minnesota.

They definitely held their own in a competitive SEC conference and locked themselves into competing at championships.
