Teams with less than 7 scholarship athletes are eligible to compete.
Formerly known as USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships, the name is now changed to Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships.

Session 1:
SCSU
Greenville
Bridgeport
South Eastern Missouri

Session 2:
Centenary
West Chester
Alaska
Texas Woman's

Top 2 from each session advance to team finals.
Bridgeport and SEMO are favorite to advance from session 1
TWU is favorite to advance from session 2 with the other spot in team finals up for grabs between Alaska and West Chester.

Congrats to Fisk’s Ciniah Rosby who just set a career high in the AA, rotating as an individual. She’s currently in 3rd after the afternoon session.

Morgan Price will be looking to repeat her AA win from the evening session. SEMO’s Taylor Ingle set the bar so far with a strong 39.225.

SEMO, Bridgeport, Texas Woman’s, and West Chester moved on and compete in team finals today.

Price (Fisk) did indeed defend her AA title with Ingle finishing 2nd. Robson ends up 4th.

Event finals were fun to watch last year, and this year they should be very competitive again.

TWU won the team final easily with a 196.175. Scoring was very loose.

Scoring in event finals was tighter, which is appreciated. Morgan Price ended up winning V (9.8250), BB (9.8625) and FX (9.9000) outright and tying for the UB (9.8500) title with TWU’s Hoiland. Amazing to watch. So Price won all 5 possible individual titles.

In terms of Fisk as a program, 3 more gymnasts in addition to Price made event finals: Aliyah Reed-Hammon on vault and balance beam, Ciniah Rosby (4th in the AA) on uneven bars and balance beam, and Allie Berkley on vault.

I'm not sure too many people were expecting them to be able to reach 194.6 at an away meet (SEMO) in their third season. Price is clearly the key, but it's great to have Rosby now being able to consistently bring in scores above 9.7 as well.
