I thought it was only 4 athletes and no team final?
Yes, exactly -- I think the 4 athletes are absolutely clear here, if Nationals were the selection meet. Also someone mentioned Wong's upgraded middle pass which I think will be a boost for her AA and possibly even her chances of making floor finals. She did quite well for herself at the last post-Olympic Worlds (admittedly only months after the Olympics).

Hang also has two vaults, but her floor isn't strong. Sullivan did two vaults (Y1.5 and Pod) at Winter Cup but we haven't seen a second vault since.

Pease is just so wildly inconsistent (tbf, so is everyone else).

There's just no obvious VT/FX choice this year beyond Roberson. And even Roberson isn't all that obvious for vault, imo. A so-so DTY and a Cheng that she's not yet competed doesn't inspire confidence, imo.

The biggest question mark is Jayla Hang. Was Day 1 a fluke? Will she compete two vaults at camp? Which Jayla is going to show up in September?

Would be funny if the team was Rivera, Pease, Wong, Blakely. They’d only have to bring Florida coaches and WOGA coaches. Everyone gets two coaches.

Hang's floor is good, hopefully Day 1 nationals was a fluke and she does another strong performance at trials, along with the 2nd vault reappearing. That should definitely make her the alternate to Roberson.

Also looking at the scores, and given how much Hezly was overscored on Beam and Floor...I think Leanne should have won this National title.

some tidbits from separating out execution and difficulty scores....

Leanne ran away with the execution crown. She beat 2nd place Gabrielle Hardie by more than a full point! Rivera, Zhou, and Rose rounded out the top 5. Sullivan and Roberson were 13th and 14th, while poor Claire Pease was second-to-last of those who did AA.

Unsurprisingly, Roberson has a huge D score advantage, a full point ahead of second place Rivera, who herself was 1.3 ahead of 3rd place Sullivan. Wong went from 21.4 to 22.1 on day 2. Gabrielle Hardie's d scores is what kept her down, finishing 16th of 21.

The average D and E scores on each event over both days on competition:
Vault: 4.7/8.859
Bars: 5.5/7.438
Beam: 5.4/7.657
Floor: 5.4/7.800
