Looks like one of the Taylors withdrew from rings.
It's Burkhart.
Hang into 2nd....credit for a Pod, not a Lopez.
Navas Mustafina, messy, but fully around.
Thanks. I didn't know.Burkhart pulled out of everything after Quals, said he tweaked his back. That's why Asher Hong was back in for Team Finals.
What? Mustafina got credit for the vault in 2010 worlds prelims. One downgrade in an EF doesn't take away the naming rights. It doesn't matter if it was the right call or not. When we speak about the Mustafina we should be referring to the Pike version, since that's all she ever did (incorrectly getting credited for a layout in qualification at the one event where she ever tried it, but then correctly credited as pike in event final).
Roundoff 1/2-on layout 1/1 off should be known as a Maroney-Izbasa.
I don’t think that became a thing until 2013and in the quad, Wasn't it impossible to do a piked front with a full according to the COP
No one has attempted this big of a reach when it comes to COP naming rights since Nelli Kim. CongratulationsWhen we speak about the Mustafina we should be referring to the Pike version, since that's all she ever did (incorrectly getting credited for a layout in qualification at the one event where she ever tried it, but then correctly credited as pike in event final).

Of course it does. Look at how Zhang Yihan got credit for her Clear-hip Nabieva in competition in 2024, but then when reviewed by the committee for naming they said "no, we're not crediting it." I think that call was BS, thank goodness Zhang now officially has the skill named after doing it again in 2025, but Mustafina's vault was certainly piked. Like, a full 90 degree hip angle going into the salto, not just a sort-of piked shape that gets downgraded now.It doesn't matter if it was the right call or not.
