Some clips from men's podium training with short statements from Zou Jingyuan and Xiao Ruoteng (This is in English.)

Small clips of women's podium training.

Translation by Cow:
The women's podium training was split into 4 subdivisions, and the team champion of the last Games, Guangdong, trained during the 3rd subdivision. Zhang Qingying, who recently won the balance beam title and all around bronze at the World Championships, led Zhejiang, the 2025 National Championships team gold medalists, in the podium training. They were in pretty good condition.

ZQY: I have attended one National Games before, the one in 2021, and that was my first time as a senior. The arena and lighting feels pretty good today. I am more focused on my skills and routines to think too much about it.

Qiu Qiyuan of Fujian has recovered around 60-70% of her skills after her elbow surgery. In her training, she hurt her foot, which has impacted her landings. She has expressed that she will try her best to overcome these difficulties in the competition.

QQY: Since I kinda injured my foot this year, it's been hurting more and training has been more difficult. Overall, today felt pretty good. Since it's just podium training, we just got used to the equipment, and it felt just like a typical practice.

Some videos here.

I haven't had a chance to watch much yet, but I'll offer a few preliminary comments:

1.) Deng Yalan redemption!
2.) We don't want Ke Qinqin to win the AA. Just ask Chen Yile or Kang Xin about the National Games curse.
3.) Luo Huan still has it.

Is there anything holding Zhou Yaqin from doing better on beam this year?

Eeek, adding in Ou Yushan separately really highlights how bad it went for her.
Zhou has a foot injury. It's clearly affecting her beam, and it's probably why she skipped floor at Worlds. She wasn't supposed to do FX in Prelims today, but Hunan was in 9th place before the final rotation, and she stepped up in a last-ditch effort to make TF. They missed it by a hair.
