I got the waiting room a few times and got booted out every time I got to the front of the queue (started my first attempt at exactly 16:00 CEST). Now just get "Oh dear, unfortunately your event could not be found", which is what it was saying before the on-sale day. So who knows. Someone on Reddit said they're not using the biggest venue in the city as it's already taken over by the Turnfest so maybe it's just a victim of its own success.I can’t even get that far. Not sure if this is high demand or the website not being set up by release time (1600 CEST).
Having rearranged my plans and booked flights and a hotel based on the tickets I was able to buy when the website stopped being broken, I'll be a little annoyed if they reopen sales for the sessions I was originally intending to go to but which were showing as "sold out".A friend e-mailed customer services and all they could say was “this is pre-sale”. Even though releasing to the public doesn’t fit the definition of pre-sale, that does imply that more will be released. Only a few blocks ever seemed available when the website did work.
I'm assuming they stuck it right in the middle of the week to make it harder to withdraw - you can't plead injury after the qualis without also missing the "proper" finals.Wasn't expecting countries not to get a choice in who they use.
Would that not also require a rule change? At present you can be injured from one final and then compete in any others you've made afterwards. Like Simone in 2021. Unless that's been changed for this Euros and we've not posted about it here?I'm assuming they stuck it right in the middle of the week to make it harder to withdraw - you can't plead injury after the qualis without also missing the "proper" finals.
Good point - in which case we can expect to see plenty of Tuesday night injuries that get better by Thursday morning.Would that not also require a rule change? I guess the arena doesn't accommodate all apparatus at once? Although that doesn't explain why they can't both vault. The settings are quite quick to change aren't they? Not letting the athletes choose events also seems like a strange decision.
Agreed. There’s now a perverse motivation to be the lower scoring AAder (well across the three pieces) if you want a day off.Wasn't expecting countries not to get a choice in who they use.
