A shame for the beam final and I'd think this makes bronze less likely for the Dutch now? If we assume Italy are going to be miles out in 1st and probably France 2nd, 3rd is quite open. Though maybe the Barbosu news balances it out a bit.

Do you think Italy will win worlds. Its seems like the US is not that great right now

I think it's hard to guess because of NCAA. The top contenders from Italy have shown routines, but we don't know who else is going to return from the college ranks, plus Hezly Rivera is likely planning an AA program for the season and we haven't seen much from her at all. But if you were basing a potential TF situation on routines we've already seen this season then of course Italy has the edge.

Agree. As things stand, Italy are the ones to beat. But the US are still too up in the air, even with Jade confirming yesterday that she won't try for Jakarta. So I have added my thumbs up, but reserve the right to change it!

USA B team just barely lost to an Italian team that contains 3 of their 5 members competing at Euros.

I think you would still have to consider the US to be favorites since Rivera nor Sumansekera went to Jesolo.

Leanne Wong confirmed she is training for 2025 Nationals and assuming Worlds.

A USA team of Wong, Sumansekera, Rivera, Pease, Hang would be the top contender IMO

VT: (Rivera/Pease) Wong, Sumanasekera, Hang
UB: (Wong) Rivera, Hang, Pease
BB: Pease, Sumansekera, Hang, Rivera -(top 3 scores in TQ go to TF)
FX: (Pease) Wong, Hang, Sumanasekera

You even have some solid options outside of this 5 in Caylor, Sullivan, Rose.

No Biles Buffer, but this would be the team to beat IMO

That team would make the UB and BB rotations a nail-biter, though. The chances of hitting are about the same as the chances of counting a couple of falls.

I'm not ready to put Sumanasekera on the "A" team. We haven't seen her compete this year, and her camp scores were not encouraging.

The routines weren't, either... I'd say Sullivan is much more of a contender right now.

I'll be very curious how her vaults look. Because her Lopez in NCAA didn't inspire confidence.

Apparently the local Romanian media are saying Ana initially opted out because it's so close to her exams but has now changed her mind.
