I know nothing about training and expectations of a gymnast advancing but when I read this the first thing that came to mind was Daine do Sontos. She started at 12 and 8 years later she was a world champion on floor. So just some food for thought.

I have question about Nemour's beam. On her elements that land backwards (like her mount) after she lands she slides her front foot back. Would that get deducted? I can't recall a gymnast doing that.

In regards to team finals here. I have always been bothered by the reaction of the Russians. Why weren't they fuming or at least depressed. At the end they were all happy with fourth after 4 falls? There attitude and demeanor seems so un-russian. What was up with that?
