I thought they played it safe (smartly) at nationals to ensure Hardie made the national team, and then showed upgrades at camp because they knew she wasn't actually in the running for worlds. But selection camp is a good chance to do upgraded routines without worrying about it negatively...
Kerri seems a bit.....delusional? Maybe that's too strong of a word. But not really grounded in reality. I can understand being 14 and being upset about going 3rd in the line-up, or not making AA finals (even though it was pretty obvious from the get-go that barring disaster it would be Kim...
Even with high D scores, Roberson's execution on vault is just so bad. I gave in and watched her vaults on Twitter today and that DTY was fucking awful. Hang beat her with a Lopez! She's gonna need a lot of help to get on the vault podium, I think.
5.9+7.3=13.2. So either they're missing a .1 ND, or USAG can't do math. Both are equally plausible.
Or I suppose the D or E score was inputting incorrectly. Again, very plausible.
No, that's something USAG works out independently with a host gym. But USAG has never taken alts to pre-worlds training for individual worlds. Whoever is named alternate, absolutely will not be traveling any where.
Beam scores:
Wong, 13.2
Caylor, 13.55
Hang, 13.0
Blakely, 14.05
Roberson, 13.1
Hmmm, Roberson, two sup-par scores today. I feel like she always gets the benefit of the doubt, and today, maybe not so much. Curious.
