I’ve always thought the recruit ratings were biased towards all-arounders. I would much rather have a gymnast that’s great on bars and beam but can’t vault to save her life than someone who is solid but not spectacular on all four events.
There’s enough flexibility on college rosters that you...
I’m sure she’ll end up at Florida because it seems like everyone always does, although I wish she’d go somewhere more interesting. She could go help out Minnesota or Michigan or go replace Jade at Oregon State.
Yeah, if Florida has Frazier, Harris, and a healthy Dicello and Blakely then Jenny...
The Oklahoma freshmen were coached by the Oklahoma staff. I don’t have nearly the faith in the Arkansas coaches that some people do. Also, you never know what you are going to get from freshmen.
Ranking Arkansas sixth seems really high to me, even if the freshmen are supposed to be amazing.
I’m beginning to wonder if KJ can catch Suzanne’s 10 titles. They are losing a lot, but I honestly didn’t think they were going to win this year. They absolutely took advantage of the situation they were given.
It seems like Utah always looks amazing in the semis and flops in the finals...
I admittedly don’t pay much attention to Clemson sports, but are they really that sports crazy? I know the football team is usually good, but do they care that much about women’s sports?
Two years is not a lot of time to give a coach, especially one that is starting a new program. I’m...
Poor Lily. I just wish that whoever decided to drag this to light would have waited the three weeks until NCAAs were over. This apparently happened over a year ago and was reported in some tiny newspaper that no one would have seen. It absolutely could have waited until the off-season to give...
Oklahoma might not be too upset because being the two seed means they are on the easier side of the bracket. If the seeds hold that LSU, Utah, UCLA, and Michigan State semifinal is going to be a bloodbath.
I probably would have made some money on that bet just because I have more faith in Oklahoma’s training staff than Florida’s. Even with that I’m still surprised Ragan’s ankles made it through five years with her doing floor almost the entire time.
Riley’s a beautiful gymnast, but she’s never...
I feel like Pederson’s been pretty wobbly of late, but apparently she’s also a bit injured at the moment. I can understand that a LSU home meet is probably not the best place to throw someone new in the mix, but you would think they would be trying to give her a bit of a break. Instead she’s...
According to people at the meet OU went into the tunnel to talk during Bryant’s floor and then came out and congratulated LSU. The tale of them storming out in anger is apparently more internet nonsense.
However, I am 99% sure Arizona State greased down the beam and that caused Utah to fall...
They may make me eat my words, but Oklahoma just doesn’t have it this year. They seemingly have no depth, which is the only explanation I can come up with as to why they are using so few gymnasts. I can’t figure out if KJ’s being stubborn about the beam lineup or if that’s really her best six...
Arkansas is just kind of messy. They have Kyla Ross, who definitely knows good form, on staff and she needs to be going around nitpicking the leg separations on bars and fixing leaps.
I was curious to see how Roberson would transition to college, and so far it seems to be going okay...
I have a feeling ESPN shut down having the early session with five teams and a bye. It would kill them to have to show an extra 20 minutes of gymnastics instead of more basketball, and this is coming from a person who watches basketball.
While the coverage of college gym has come a long way...
