All of the non revenue sports at California are in jeopardy aside from those with endowments. Nothing will happen next year. After that, who knows.

California has the highest athletic debt in the nation. It also has LOT of sports. Clemson has a lot of $ and the bare minimum of sports. I don't think the Howells left because of any immediate threat. But the future is a lot less rosier at California than it is at Clemson.
