so what will this mean for all the other sports? Especially gymnastics and wrestling. They seem to be the 2 sports that would not be offered in the proposed conferences they are looking at for the other...
It would make sense to pick one that is not currently going for 2028. So possibly 96 team member, Carly or nastia, or if gabby or Simone are not going for 2028. Any one of those would make sense
I have been patiently waiting for that to be released. She’s been committed there (and working through the process of untangling eligibility issues) since before Landi was hired
What I’ve been being told is that everyone on roster gets money (no more walk ons in every sport) and that every team has a roster limit. Football will be capped at 105 members (no more on roster period) and that gymnastics will be 20. This is coming from college coaches I know
I’m hearing along with other changes (like all spots to be offered some form of financial benefit, no straight walk one anymore) that where will be roster limits instituted. Anyone heard if roster limits start ‘25 season or ‘26? And if it for sure be a 20 person team limit?
that article is....well, what was the point of it? Did i miss where she actually discussed any injury let alone "breaks her silence"? I saw a small blip about some unknown injury happening doing a standing full on beam....that's it. No mention of what said injury is. and then there's some...
When a coach leaves (or a program is cut I presume) the normal rules for entering the portal do not apply. They can enter past the normal deadlines. The issue would be that many programs have already picked up other transfers and may not have spots to offer those entering at this point
So. I haven’t seen the new rules yet myself but I’m hearing there are some changes coming.
Rumor is
1) floor will have an E pass requirement for any 2 pass routine
2) bars will have some change that will discourage the maloney (or shaposh) to pak. Not sure how that will work, but won’t be a...
I honestly think this comeback wasn’t really about making Olympic team, but getting skills back to join this “professional league” that has been in the works for apparently quite some time. That makes much more sense to me. As has been pointed out, she has no other income. May be wrong, but...
If that pro circuit thing for gymnastics becomes a thing I could see jones going that route….if she can do that and train for 2028 as well. I just don’t see her doing college at all
