For sure. But there is deliberate evil behavior and then there is behavior which results in great evil being done but has no evil intent. Alcoholics are out of control and need help. I see both sides of this. Which is not to say there should be no consequences for Mary Lou. There should be.
Maybe a little compassion? Alcoholism is a terrible disease which people struggle with throughout their entire lives. I am no fan of hers but this is just a sad situation.

By itself that is not necessarily a problem though. A lot of very good private schools have teachers that are not licensed or certified, but who are VERY well educated in the fields they teach and are in fact good teachers.
