Gymnastics Nostalgia: Underrated, underdiscussed, or you left us too soon gymnasts

I don't think anyone mentioned Ekaterina Lobazniuk. Apart from her 2min set up for her beam Arabian, she had many wonderful qualities. But that knee injury just ended it all for her.

Who will replace him? He really was a big reason on why the girls looked so good in Paris. Will they bring in another international coach?

2025 Euros in Leipzig — Precompetition Thread

I couldn't look for tickets for a couple of days after 3 days of only getting error messages, and now it says they are sold out. When I click on tickets, it shows me some 90 euro tickets (which is more than what I was looking to spend to be honest). Does anyone know if more tickets will be...

2025 Euros in Leipzig — Precompetition Thread

In Germany and most of the world :) But it also means people don't have to take time off work. Anyway, not a big deal.

2025 Euros in Leipzig — Precompetition Thread

I'm definitely going to go since I live in Berlin. Leipzig is very close by. I find it strange that the finals are on Friday and Saturday and not on Sunday. I'm prob going for those two days only. Happy to meet up with anyone who is going. I will either be alone or with my 5 year old (I know...).

Team medals for athletes who didn't compete in the final

I get everybody's point and I'm happy for all these athletes. I'm not saying they don't deserve a medal but it still feels weird to me that an athlete is awarded for a performance that didn't take place on the night. It's like they are being awarded for getting selected to be part of the team...

Team medals for athletes who didn't compete in the final

Please forgive my ignorance if this is common knowledge. I have been wondering about why athletes who only compete in qualifications still get a medal at the team final. One example is Hezly in Paris, but I remember Stroescu getting a gold in Athens too, and many more before. What's the logic...

FX EF INQUIRY (Jordan Chiles Stripped Of Bronze Medal/USAG launches appeal) PART 2

I've never seen an inquiry for skating and that's the main sport I follow. Oftentimes, the judges get it wrong, especially with flutzes or underrotations. And don't get my started on PCS skyrocketing just because someone has a clean programme in the last groups. Us fans just live with it. We...

    Gymnasts' career intentions post-Paris

No idea but I would expect her to give it another go. The interview was just with Alice, who said she will go on holiday but will be back at the gym in September.

    Gymnasts' career intentions post-Paris

Alice D'Amato is definitely continuing, she said so in an Italian interview.

    Gymnasts' career intentions post-Paris

She has so much amplitude on bars, and that can't be taught. It's like Mustafina's swing. Innate!

I get her wanting to drop beam but floor? That girl shines on the dance floor! Let's see...

FX EF INQUIRY (Jordan Chiles Stripped Of Bronze Medal/USAG launches appeal) PART 2

Or she doesn't have anyone to advise her and she's just very level-headed and kind. Her words don't sound like they come out of a PR agency.

FX EF INQUIRY (Jordan Chiles Stripped Of Bronze Medal/USAG launches appeal) PART 2

They were for sure desperate for a medal. They weren't even at the Olympics last time (Larisa was but she withdrew) and they haven't had any international medals for a while. They got so close here and they weren't going to drop it of there was a small chance. USA on the other hand....what's...
