Koper has finished. For WAG, Taeja got silvers on vault and floor, Alia Leat 3rd on beam and floor. And Joshua Nathan bronze on pommels.

England WAG Commonwealth team selection meeting is on Tuesday the 2nd, MAG isn't til the week later, both scheduled to be announced on the 17th. I think this weekend probably cemented Leat and James. It was also good for Becky, since GMF isn't ready. My guess is those three plus Abi Martin and probably Amankwaah. That's a strong floor lineup, but they'll probably count a weak routine on the other three events. 3rd bars worker will be gnarly. As CWG is 5-4-3, I would think they sit out Becky on vault and floor, Taeja on bars since she doesn't even compete it and probably Amankwaah on beam.

Yes - some good results but not a great return to competition for GMF to just do bb and finish 25th in qualification.

I think Becky has stated she isn't doing CWG, wants to do Euros.
Ruby Stacy will likely have her spot. Then Alia and Taeja, Shantae and Abi. Depending on any injuries the next 2 are likely Shanna Kae Grant and Grace Davies

I'd missed that.

It's an interesting decision. I can see how she might think it best not to attempt both. CWG would offer her more chance of medals, and on recent evidence she's still the best bars worker in the Commonwealth. Her chances of a Euros medal can't be as high, and at minimum she won't be the favourite as she would be at CWG. So perhaps the strength of the field and the chance to go up against a greater number of strong opponents is the attraction.

Just another example of Becky, Beckying

Who will beat her at Euros if she hits in EFs*? Colas?

*lol
She'll also have Melnikova and 1-2 D'Amatos to contend with there. Which isn't to say Becky couldn't outscore them (in TFs anyway!) but it's likely to be a more competitive field than CWG.

I do like Kate McDonald's bars though, and would be happy with her as CWG champion. She really should win it if Becky's out of the way.

I forgot that Russia is back at Euros. The Asian Championships switch was temporary?
The Russian Olympic committee briefly flirted with the idea of joining Asia but it never actually happened. I can’t remember if it got to the voting stage or not. The only Asian competition Russia competes in is the children of Asia sports movement which is not affiliated with the IOC

One D'Amato max, I think. Alice had some kind of upper body surgery in recent months.
