No GB entrants for the Tashkent world cup, but there'll be a Koper delegation. Yeolshin-Cash for MAG and for WAG they've listed Alia, Taeja and Ondine. Did we know this?

BG don't usually list people who've not competed for ages as placeholders, but would be very surprising if Ondine were back so fast after surgery? If it weren't for that I'd assume she must be trying for CWG, as Koper will be one of the DSEs for England.

Very interesting. Achampong’s 2024 injury was spring and IIRC she did NCAA bars at some point in 2025? Guess she could have interior bars back by now. Selectors will need to go deep into the squad if they want to minimise Euros/CWG overlap so I could see her having a strong enough bars score to be in the CWG conversation.

Haven’t factchecked but have also heard that she’s a placeholder for GMF who doesn’t have a FIG license atm. BG have already announced GMF apparently but I missed it.

That would make more sense given that Ondine had surgery late 2025. It was only partial ACL but still, seemed quick. Especially as it wasn't her first.

Wonder why GMF doesn't have a licence? It's not that long since she last competed internationally, Koper last May.

Varna last weekend was a good outing for GB, Amankwaah especially. Her floor is well designed, albeit the music is a bit divisive. I expect @Doug1233 will be interested in the way she achieves her 5.2 D score.

The fact that it got 8.033 makes me want to scream. It's very well executed. I would love to see a score break down because I cannot get to 8.033 without wanting to jump off a cliff afterward.

Yeah 8.033 for that is too low. Especially when they're throwing out high 7's to gymnasts like Voinea.
