Who made one Olympic “team”, one World Championship team and was an alternative in two Worlds and one Olympics, at a time when the US team was arguably deeper. (Although the CoP was probably more friendly to a power gymnast chucking high difficulty with iffy technique and form than it is now).

I don’t think Josc is a lock or anything, but being able to hit at nationals and at selection, which she has shown herself to be able to do, seems to count for quite a bit, especially when others go down with injury or have misses.

The thing that makes this weird to me is that she was in the portal before any of the other things had been announced. I find it highly unlikely that Jordyn would have given Josc a heads-up specifically before sharing it with the administration.

Now, does that mean Josc had no idea of some of these changes being a possibility when she entered the portal? Not necessarily.
I assume that Jordyn has been less in the gym in the last year, given she was on mat leave for a while, and there could definitely have been a rumor or impression going around that she was less happy and might not stick around.

And of course, when Josc committed, staying with her elite coaches in college did not seem possible, since it was before Cecile joined UGA, so maybe she also thought about possibly joining Cecile.

I do think the coaches had a big impact on where she’s transferring (in the video, she specifically stated that the coaches at UGA were not the deciding factor for her to enter the portal, not where she’s going).

I’m just wondering what the purpose of her actively lying would be if she was. Why would she not just say “for personal reasons that I dont feel comfortable sharing” instead of actively lying and coming out with a relatively elaborate story.

True. She seems like an open book. I don't think she's capable of dissimulation.

It's all coincidence that Jordyn leaves coaching, Laurent gets hired at UGA, and Roberson enters the transfer portal.

If anyone out there genuinely believes this, I am selling some magic beans that might also interest them.

I think Aizheng was listing Skinner's accomplishments. Like Roberson is a nice Skinner, but Skinner herself had a pretty successful career.

I think the main difference between them is Skinner had the benefit of remaining healthy for the large majority of her time in elite. She didn't start having serious ankle problems until the final year of her third quadrennium as a senior. Meanwhile Roberson has been struggling with her ankle since just her second year as a senior in her first quad.

MSU lost their 2 assistant coaches, who obviously had good relationships with their athletes. MSU hasn't even hired any replacements that I have seen. Tough going for us Spartan fans

I think it's only 2 routines they've lost from those who have transferred out. Seems like a lot of depth athletes have strong relationships with the assistants Nebraska hired so will take their chances of making more line ups there.
