Team Standings after 3 subdivisions
Top 4 already qualified to Team Finals and 2023 Pan American Games as a full team.
United States is guaranteed a Worlds berth as a full team. Colombia will wait to see if Argentina or Mexico falter.
United States 160.466
Colombia 143.465
Chile 142.468
Jamaica 135.368
Cuba 134.999
Panama 134.132
Venezuela 133.532
Puerto Rico 133.500
In order to qualify to Worlds, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico need to average 11.955 to beat out Colombia and advance. In order to qualify to team finals and 2023 Pan Am Games, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico need to average 11.249 to beat out Cuba and advance.
Colombia and Chile passed Jamaica so, if the last subdivision goes as expected, Jamaica will finish 8th and will be in the team final (assuming it is the usual eight teams and not some other weird format).
Yup!
Jamaica not only qualifies to the team final here but they also qualified a full team to the 2023 Pan Am Games next year.
However, PAGU will need to hold a championships next year, since Pan Am Games are October 20-November 4, so Worlds will already have ended as it is September 29-October 8.
Also, a genuine thank you to people who’ve posted individual videos/where to find them. I physically can’t manage screens well enough right now to watch the competition or do a ton of searching for them, but I can do occasional forum checks and scatter 60-90 second videos through my day. You making them easy to find and watch is really appreciated.
Yes and she is locked into Worlds at this point as she is ranked 1st. So should Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Canada get a team berth, she will go as #1. Should one of these teams not pass Colombia then depending on where their AAers are, she would still go as only 2 per country can advance to Worlds (I believe).
There are 11 spots for AA outside of the top 5 teams.
So Brazil qualifies #1 to the team final, 1.5 over USA, to put pressure on the ladies Sunday.
Canada, Argentina, and Mexico grab the remaining team spots to Worlds.
