Good to see the juniors who were injured are presumably recovered and ready to compete!

I sure wish I was going. That’s a fabulous lineup.

Imagine if Douglas was listed as well!
But looks like a great comp. I hope there is an international stream

Super excited a MAG from my gym is going to be competing!

Should I be concerned that Shilese Jones isn’t going to show routines?

And LOL Simone Biles? Of course…

Excited to see Biles! I hope she will compete at least three events.

I’d be more concerned if she were showing routines. She should keep steadily preparing before Nats, no need to show what she can do at Classics; she’s currently the nation’s top-rated AAer

Interesting, no Konnor McClain…

No Addison Fatta?

No, but she’s already qualified to nationals and has competed a bunch already.

Yeah, just the other week Konnor said she was planning a few events for Classics, but that her hand needs a month to recover, and her back like 8 months. I’m not really sure if she meant 8 additional months, or just post-surgery… confusion.

Paloma Spiridonova is another interesting name on the senior list. I assume she is doing exhibition like MDJDS.

Paloma is a US citizen, so she has equal status to the other US gymnasts who are not on the national team. She, and the other US gymnasts representing other countries are eligible to compete at nationals and even be named to the national team, just as Annia Hatch was. They just wouldn’t be able to represent the US internationally whilst holding FIG licences for other countries.

Here is who is already qualified to Nationals.

Members of the 2022 World Championships team and replacement athletes automatically qualify to national championships.

Otherwise, senior gymnasts must earn a 51.000 all-around score at selected national team training camps held in the second half of 2022 or in 2023, through an international assignment in 2023, and at the Winter Cup, American Classic, or U.S. Classic in 2023.

Senior gymnasts may also earn a 39.000 three-event score or a 26.400 two-event score at selected national team training camps in the second half of 2022 or in 2023, and at the American Classic or U.S. Classic in 2023. The Winter Cup does not count as a qualifier for specialists.

Not sure when the list was last updated.

Kinda strange that being the reigning National champ doesn’t grant automatic berth to compete at Nationals

I always wondered why national team members didn’t have automatic qualification to nationals.

It hasn’t been updated recently. Off the top of my head, Tiana and Addison qualified from Pan Am camp.

ETA: Madray Johnson, Katelyn Jong, and Katelyn Rosen also qualified to nationals via Pan Am selection camp.

Well, I’m officially going now.
