I am in my 30s and I train with teenagers twice a week and it is kind of crazy how you can adapt to their language and get used to teen personas etc. I imagine if you were surrounded by that all day everyday with very little external influence it would impact on how you act and your maturity...

Weightlifting is a fantastic sport for gymnasts to move on to. Strong (and good strength to weight ratio), good mobility, great body Awareness and generally very coachable. I’ve done the transition myself snd have seen several others also
