just have an artistry panel. Judges with a dance and ballet background, where their sole focus is on artistry, flow, moving in and out of elements. basically, the 70 seconds of a 90 second routine where the gymnast isn’t performing a skill.
The E Panel have enough shit to do.
I have:
Silivas - 0.1 leg sep, 0.2 (2 steps)
DLO - 0.1 knees, 0.1 hop
Triple (and a half!) Wolf - 0.1 body shape, 0.1 precision
Split Jump Full - 0.3 body shape (might go 1 here, depending on where you sit)
Barani (0.1 leg sep, 0.1 feet), Double Back (0.1 feet, 0.1 hop)
Switch Leap 0.1 body...
I actually think the USAG judges have, finally, after several decades, received the memo on disgusting leaps.
It’s a shame they cannot identify a repeated bar skill though.
And yet - think of all the hundreds of hours that took to get knees and ankles and toes like that. All that effort (and pain!!) of extra stretching your body for hours every week.
Then compare it to Jordan Chiles. 2-3 tenths separation in terms of artistry deductions.
Not worth doing.
100%
And also the Code doesn’t reward pointed feet.
Look at Brooklyn Moors. All that effort on floor for fucking nothing.
Just learn a triple double and that D Score drowns out anything else.
Artistry deductions on FX from Paris have been (apparently) leaked.
Divide each total by 7. That’s your average artistry deduction, per judge (5 x E Panel and 2 x R Panel).
