I hadn’t considered this, but I’m pretty sure you are spot on.
It’s insane to me that the only event that is in a good place right now in NCAA is vault, which coincidentally is the only event they have tried to do anything about increasing the difficulty.
The story of UCLA’s vault lineup for as far back as I remember is always “they are going to have enough 10.0 vaults soon.” And then almost all of them never materialize and others degrade as the season goes on.
Relying on broken elites for vault is not working.
Like, I’m glad Tiana and Josc can have competitive NCAA bars routines, but that’s really laying bare how inadequate the NCAA UB code is.
I will never understand UCLA’s strategy of trying to put up perfect FTYs in a vault lineup. If it worked, other teams would do it but once again UCLA thinks...
The issue the French federation has with Avoine is not the abusive practices, but rather their refusal to relocate? Because of so, fuck that. An absolute “Everybody Sucks Here” situation.
Why on earth was French the official language? It’s not like the French speaking part of the world has some claim on the origins or history of the sport.
Yeah, in a lot of ways, the Karolyis were really one hit wonders with Nadia and were able to ride that right time right place luck for decades thanks to the Soviet boycott of LA.
It was a done deal at that point, right?
My obviously wrong conspiracy theory is that China threw the bone of the Sydney team to take the scent off of their Beijing team as a compromise.
The statute of limitations might be 10 years now, WADA updated the doping statutes to 10 years in 2021, I imagine any age falsifications would follow suit, even if it isn’t the jurisdiction of WADA.
The coaches were aware of these changes before they made the schedules.
Greg Marsden can shut the fuck up. He lost all credibility when he defended Tom Farden and continues to have the most ridiculous bias for Utah.
